Low speed technical maneuvers
Low-speed technical maneuvers are fun, challenging, and super useful! In this clinic we look at a variety of 'trail tricks' depending on the interest and ability level of the group but can include:
As well as being fun, these moves help us improve our overall riding skills by developing stability, balance, and braking skills. They also help on tricky technical trails, e.g. nose pivots to get through tight switchback turns, or wheelies to get the front wheel over roots during a technical climb.
This clinic is for intermediate riders (age 16 and over). You should have good balance on the bike and be able to comfortably use front and rear brakes independently.
This clinic is aimed at all ability levels, we will cover the fundamentals for riders who are attempting these moves for the first time, as well as helping more experienced riders develop their skills.
This clinic takes place in a smooth, flat area, for maximum repetition and to minimize risk. Unlike most of our clinics, we won't plan to cover any trail mileage unless it's just to get us to the practice zone.
